Steelmate SLC-2C Blind Spot monitoring System

The Steelmate SLC-2C Lane Change Assist/Blind Spot Detection System warns the driver of a vehicle in their blind spot. This greatly reduces the possibility of a fatal accident caused when overtaking or changing lanes.

How does the Steelmate SLC-2C Lane Change Assist/Blind Spot Detection System work?

BSD (Blind Spot Detection) – Up to 8 metres

If a vehicle is detected in the blind spot when not indicating, the corresponding warning light installed on the bottom of the left/right windscreen pillar trim will solidly illuminate amber and will stay illuminated until the vehicle exits the blind spot.

If a vehicle is detected in the blind spot when indicating, the corresponding warning light installed on the bottom of the left/right windscreen pillar trim will illuminate red and an audible alert will sound until the vehicle exits the blind spot.

CVW (Closing Vehicle Warning) – Up to 30 metres

When a fast-approaching (closing) vehicle is detected when not indicating, the corresponding warning light installed on the bottom of the left/right windscreen pillar trim will flash amber.

When a fast approaching (closing) vehicle is detected when indicating, the corresponding warning light installed on the bottom of the left/right windscreen pillar trim will flash red and an audible alert will sound.
